Personally I thought he was **** scared of United and their players. Rooney leading with the elbow (more than once), Ronaldos diving and there was a serious amount of time wasteing that all went unpunished.

Just been rewatching the second half and one of the commentators said something cryptic like 'Man Utd are taking as long as they legally can over this throw-in' (or words to that effect). Wish they'd just come out and say that they're time-wasting

Usual strategy was for Rio to run to take the throw in. Then drop the ball and let Brown take it.

Other one was for one of the players to talk to the ref while Van Der Sarr would (more often then not) take the long way round to taking a goal-kick. One time he did an almost complete lap of the goal

on tv they will show replays of incidents whereas in the ground you can just see black shirts surrounding the ref and trying to influence the decisions.

Ferdinand looks to be the main culprit of that. He was involved in everything even though it had nothing to do with him.

He is a ****ing horrible player. I can't stand him at all.

Did anyone else see Rooney walking past the Kemlyn up towards the Annie Road end and kissing the filth badge and winding up some of our fans. Halsey seen it and did nothing.

there was a caller on 606 this evening who made a good point about this.

if you look at united, they make sure a player is always having a word in the refs ear... questioning every decision.

this is not the way i like the game to be played but he suggested that perhaps thats why united get the breaks in games and maybe if rafa deployed these methods we might be winning more of these games.

i still feel angry about the outcome of this game. i know it cant be changed now but the mancs make me ****ing sick.

Was it Gullit today who said the Mancs are a very cynical team? One of the few things he said that made any sense.

I seriously and genuinely believe Clattenburg is the best of the best. Howard Webb is a farce.

I don't think the TV does justice to the amount of time-wasting and ref/linesmen intimidation going on.

The Ronaldo diving is becoming embarrassing now, a real disgrace and the powers that be need to clamp down on it.

He pulled Rooney up for fouling at least 7 times; including twice for use of the elbow and also watched as Rooney kick out and Benni in the second half. Not once did he book or even have a word with him.
Twice Ronaldo dived today - both claims turned away by Halsey and neither time did he book or even speak to the player. I can hardly remember a time when a ManU player went down and he didn't give a free kick for it.

I felt Halsey was lenient towards ManU, scared to incurr the wrath of old whisky nose after the game. Rafa on the other hand is more reserved and I feel referee's are not scared (for want of a better word) of giving decisions against him/us. Just look at some of the penalty decisions against us this season and tell me that those decision would have gone against Utd?

                          It's a conspiracy I tell ya !!
I agree and yet I get a text from a Manc gloating because they beat our 12 men!

I was wondering what Rooney had to do to get booked, he fouled Carragher EVERY time they jumped together for the ball, I'm wondering how many times can you do the same foul in a match and not get booked for persistant fouling?
