He's look over weight, lazy.nice a nice left foot on him to be fair but apart from that offers nothing else as he's not the type to bomb up and down the pitch

I thought Riise had a decent game yesterday defensively at least.
I must admit though I get really frustrated with him when he gets into the final third as all he does is shoot, no matter how bad the position or how good the other options people give him are. I wish he could get rid of this from his gameThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Riise was pretty decent yesterday but someone like Aurelio can make a big difference to our attacking play. Like others have said Riise's crossing is poor whilst Aurelio's is sexy time. VDS should've been tested in the air more after his indecision became evident. Just wish Fab wasn't so injury prone, that would be first choice LB sown up for me.Like blood on iron

Don't you think Aurelio actually deserves a decent run in the team before we pass judgement on him?
What are you basing this opinion on?A humble guy with healthy desire.

The countless number of times I saw him play for Valencia and also what he's done in an LFC shirt so far.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostDon't you think Aurelio actually deserves a decent run in the team before we pass judgement on him?

He was class at Valencia when he was fit. There is no arguing with that. Whatt games were you actually watching? Was he not their top scorer at one point before getting injured?Originally posted by Nic83 View PostThe countless number of times I saw him play for Valencia and also what he's done in an LFC shirt so far.
This is the main reason why all of the top clubs in Europe wanted him. He took great set pieces, was assured on the ball, confident and cultured and his crossing ability was fantastic.
It still is.
He has not lost any of that class. Granted, he has not lost his inury proneness but that is irrelevant to the talent the lad has.
You cannot compare Aurelio to Riise. There is simply no comparison.

I'm lost for words. You won't be seeing much of me in the footy forum from now on. I've lost faith in human ability to decipher between reality and the rest.
I do in fact now think that the majority of LFC supporeters are the most ignorant, bitter and ill informed supporters around.
I'm sure I won't be missed too much so enjoy all of your
delusional ramblings from now on. I've given up. Come find me in the gambling forum if you want to see some more sense

Defensively there isnt much to choose between JAR and Aurelio but Aurelio is worlds apart in the final third. He has the ability to deliver a killer ball (see Crouch's header v Arsenal last year) and makes us more dangerous from set plays.
He's shown he can hit a free kick and with him on the pitch I'd like to think he'd get involved with taking a few corners so Gerrard could be where he's most dangerous in those situations i.e lurking round the edge of the area.
