Aurelio is a very talented player and a much better left back than Riise, however I feel he is never going to be our first choice left back because of his fitness issues.

We need another left back, get rid of Riise and have Aurelio as the 2nd choice.

Riise's qualities are mainly huge stamina (even incredible) and he's strong as an ok.

Actually, an ok is known for being weak.

Personally i don't get why people rate Aurelio so highly. What exactly has he done to make him one think of him as a very good player. Ok, he's been injured a hell of a lot but even when he's played, he hasn't overly impressed me.
Pings in the odd good cross but apart from that i'm not really fussed of him.

that's what he's done right there Marky. Been out so long that these people have dreamt up a picture of him that just doesn't exist. he was an average player in Spain and will be just the same in the Prem.

I have to say that I'm yet to fully make up my mind but from what I have seen of him he has the qualities that I would like to see in our fullbacks. That is to say that he is good on the ball and confident enough to play passes out of defense and in attack he offers a willingness to overlap and a splendid cross. He has also seemed to be a decent enough defender when he has been fully fit.

He is definitely one of those players who you can't play when not fit in the PL as he seems to rely on his athleticism to decide on where he will position himself defensively and has been caught too high up the pitch or too far from the rest of the back four as a consequence. Having said that I think he has done reasonably well defensively when he has played had opportunities.
