Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Harsh, very harsh. If anything the other midfielders were at fault for not noticing that Rooney, yes Rooney, was set up deep to receive the ball and they couldnt close him down in time.
      Fernando Torres

How do you know he was meant to leave his post? could Mascher have been 'in the wrong' for leaving the near post when the ball was cut back?
Unless you actually take part in Liverpool's defensive set piece practise you haven't got a ****ing clue what your saying.
How about we look at how Vidic blocked 2 off our players then look at Arbeloa who was closest to closing down Rooney was overtaken by Carragher.
Face facts, we got done by a clever set piece they had worked on, slightly lucky because it was a shot that ended up with Tevez but don't just blame Yossi because it's the current bandwagon that's passing.
I didn't think he played well but he was always an option and always looking for the ball, never hid away. I actually thought it showed how much we missed Pennant.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

sorry Nicey, but that is hypobole.

He has not been awesome. The fact is he is a decent squad player, but he should not be part of our best first 11. Benny wouldn't get into any of the other top 4 sides and that must be the benchmark by which we judge ourselves.

Until we get better players than this lot then we will not win the league. Rafa knows this, it is just whether he has the opportunity to do so.

          1) Pennant
          2) Benny
          3) Riise
          4) Momo (don't need to replace as we already have many good CMs)
          5) Kuyt or Voronin (room for one in the squad)

That really just says it all for me. Most people here know absolutely nothing about football. They can't acknowledge that Yossi should push forward like all the others on a short corner.

You people are just clueless. What a waste of time. Chirst.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

If Benny was meant to stay behind at the post then ALL the other players wouldn't have moved up the pitch, some of them would have stayed back to take care of their zone.

That's the point with zonal marking.

Some people are really clueless, just as you say.

No, lets bash him for not being good enough generally.

Same discussion as i was having with my brother, i too agree that he should have pushed forward thus making Tevez and Ronaldo Offside.

I also thought Arbeloa was very slow in seeing Rooney running to the edge of the box for the shot, infact it was Carra that did see the danger (to late though) and the ball fizzed in-between his legs straight to the the elephant man for the goal.
                    We come not to play.

Well, it was a very big mistake, if Gerrard had done the same mistake then he should be bashed, it's not about which player that did the big mistake, a schoolboy mistake like that shouldn't be done but it happened because Benny lost his concentration for a second or two.

That mistake decided the game, Benny will learn from it and will hopefully not make the same big mistake again.

Why bash a Liverpool player ? I could never do that. If he's not good enough, so be it, but bashing someone for not being of the required quality is just wrong. In any line of work I won't do that.

You said it, it was mistake.

He won us games, so why pinpoint one of his few errors

That's poor management. I'm sure Rafa wouldn't do that.

Benny is still learning Rafa's zonal marking and he isn't a defensive player so you can expect mistakes like this from time to time. Just unlucky that he did it in a match deciding situation.

I think you can be 100% sure that Rafa have talked with Benny about his mistake. Rafa don't miss a thing like that. That's one of the things that makes him the great manager he is.

He know when a player have made a mistake and corrects it so it won't happen again.

He would yes but he won't be insulting him for making it. That's the point.
