I cant believe it's actually needed ME (of all people) to say this, but...
It's actually not that bad. Honest.
Our next 8 league games are:
Pompey HOME
Derby AWAY
Man City AWAY
Wigan HOME
Boro AWAY
Villa HOME
West Ham AWAY
Sunderland HOME
Let's do it one by one...
Pompey at home - we'll win this, partly because we kinda HAVE to and partly because we're better than them, and at home. We'll have too much.
Derby away - Rafa and Montse could feature as our front two and we'd still win.
Man City away - tricky. But it comes in the midst of loads of games in a short space of time. City have been perfect at home and they've bought some good players, but they dont have the squad strength we do - we can cope with the fixture pile up far better than they will and we can grind this out - they have Blackburn 3 days before, and hopefully they'll have had lumps kicked out of them. Plus, our away form has been superb and i see no reason why that should suddenly stop.
Wigan home - Rafa and Montse striking partnership in line for a recall.
Boro away - feck off, one win against a midfield-less arsenal doesnt mean anything to me, Boro are ****e and we'll beat them up there, for a change. We're due one.
Villa home - they wont play 9-1-0 like most do. They're deluded enough to try and play football against us. We'll win.
WHU away - they're average, we have a good record down there, especially in midweek evening games. Plus, if the bluenoses can win there twice in 4 days, so can we.
Sunderland home - Montse bags a hat trick and Rafa nuts 'keano'...
8 on the bounce lads, and suddenly we wont be 10 points adrift.
It's a very pleasant run of games...(i've stopped just before Chelsea away
)
So let's roll with the punches and keep our heads up. We've done 10 and 11 in a row before, so why not 8? And it'll make a huge difference.
