23.36: PENALTY/GOAL - SPURS. No doubts this time as Rose's fine run from a central position to the left side of the box was spotted by Martin, Rose muscled his way onto the pass and got in front of Ayala, who brought him down. Penalty awarded. Tomas Pekhart planted spot kick into top corner.

        Spurs 1, Liverpool 0

Didn't we try and sign that Rose kid?

What are we doing playing Spurs Reserves? I thought they were in a different league and that we only play reserve sides from our region?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

82.06: GOAL - LIVERPOOL. Dervite penalised for foul on Brouwer, 20 yards out, central. Nemeth struck low free-kick through the wall, Button did well to block it but Kelly followed up and tapped rebound home from a couple of yards.

Two late goals completely turned around Monday night's reserve friendly as Liverpool ran out 2-1 winners at Leyton Orient.

Tomas Pekhart confidently dispatched a penalty after Danny Rose was brought down after 24 minutes but having taken until the 75th minute to seriously test Tommy Forecast and then David Button, the Reds scored in the 83rd and 85th minutes to snatch victory
