Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

LINDFIELD NETS FRIENDLY WINNER
Steve Hunter 17 December 2007
Craig Lindfield netted the winner as Liverpool Reserves came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in a friendly encounter on Monday night.
The striker, who has recently returned to Melwood after a one month loan spell at Notts County, headed home Jay Spearing's cross to seal the win for Gary Ablett's side.
Defender Martin Kelly had earlier cancelled out Tottenham's opening goal when he scored from close range after a Krisztian Nemeth free-kick was saved.
The match was played at Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road in freezing conditions but Ablett was delighted with his team's display.
"I am really pleased with the lads and we showed fantastic character and a great attitude," enthused Ablett.
"Tottenham scored first through a penalty but we kept playing our football. We scored two late goals and the win was thoroughly deserved.
"The only downside to the night was Francisco Duran picked up a knock and he had to leave the field after 20 minutes, but we are hoping it won't be serious and we'll assess it on Tuesday."
Liverpool team: Peter Gulacsi, Martin Kelly, Emiliano Insua, Mikel San Jose, Ronald Huth, Francisco Duran (Daniel Ayala 20), Ryan Crowther, Jay Spearing, Craig Lindfield, Daniel Pachecho (Krisztian Nemeth 60), Ray Putterill (Jordy Brouwer 70).

Hmmm....No Leto or El Zhar. Could mean that they will play against Chelsea.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I think El Zhar was out the last reserve game injured.
Stephen Derby maybe?
No David Martin so he'll probably be on the bench with Charlie in goal on Wednesday. Maybe Nemeth will be on the subs bench too as he didn't start the game?
