It's a blog, not a proper news article, but all the same the writer is meant to be Deputy News Editor and the article is rubbish. I especially like how he argues that it's ok for Gerrard to have one bad game against Man U, but that it's unforgivable for Kewell to have a bad game against the same opposition. Both Gerrard and Kewell have been in great form for a couple of weeks, and both played badly against Man U. Also, if Gerrard is the best midfielder around, surely he must earn that title by playing well against the best teams. I'm all for allowing players the odd bad game, but that bad game shouldn't be against teams like Man U if you want to argue that the player is world-class. Not that Gerrard isn't, he obviously is world-class, but you can't defend and criticise different players for having a bad game in the same match. I'm embarrassed this guy is writing for my local and favourite paper to be honest
