I have only one thing to say: that ref is the worst I have seen for a longtime.

Sorry. And one other thing: to play 4-3-3, the spearhead has to have space. You cannot play that system with Crouch up front and Voronin on one of the wings. They have no space. We should have stuck to 4-4-2

Positives?

Well until the lucky goal we gave as good as we got against a strong Chelsea side - Especially bearing in mind we had alot of fringe players. The sending off of Peter Crouch killed the game really, otherwise we could have got back in it.

Seen alot of people slagging Momo of, but I thought he did quite well up until we went down to 10 men, and then he seemed to jack it in. Still his usual failings on the ball, but he was like that when nearly every red was singing his praises. I should mention at this point that I have never rated him due to his lack of ball control, that has never progressed as some had thought it might. Get rid.

Jack Hobbs did well to regain his composure after his early mistake, but as mentioned by others, I wouldn't want to rely on him for an extended run in the team.

Lucas was fairly poor today as well, not up to his usual standards passing wise, but he has shown in other games that he has got the talent and will come good.

Xabi did well and was probably the main reason we did so well in the first half, until he maybe ran out of steam in the second half. Fabio Aurelio looked okay to and seems to be getting back up to speed. Nabil El Zhar was up against it when he came on really and didn't get a chance to shine.
