Bascombe is no different to any other Journo.
All they are printing is speculation hoping to sell newspapers.When i see concrete proof that anything bascombe writes is going to happen then i`ll believe it.So far all I`ve read is speculation aimed at whipping fans into a frenzy.Which seems to be working.

Listen fella, I'm not going to get into a big debate about this but the bottom line is alot of posters on here have been unfairly critical of Tom on here. The thing is when he used to reveal potential signings on here and koptalk people would kiss his arse from here to across the street. However the few times he reveals stuff that we're not happy to hear, we are quick to refute it and criticise him by accusing him of being melodramatic.

The way I see it is some of you are happy to hear and believe info so long as it's something that pleases us, however the moment the news becomes negative you don't want to believe a word of it. Had Tom come on here and gave the yanks the thumbs up and told us juicy gossip on how things are great behind the scenes, that they're going to back rafa 100% and we're going to have the most amazing stadium etc,etc, you guys would still be kissing his arse. Lets also add that I don't think Tom source of info has changed that much since the Koptalk days so why were we happy to believe things he said back then and not now? Pure double standards!!!

Well, the stadium plans has been scaled down and some of their initial promises have been complete lies. They don't have the financial clout, so it seems ... And it's been proved by the day.

Speculation or not, all of these journos are pointing towards the same direction.

I'm glad Rafa is still here, and that's the main thing.

So they've had to scale down the stadium designs, would you rather they built the thing then we couldn't afford to pay it off and buy players? That would completely defeat the purpose of building it.

But no, some just can't see reason; "These yanks have to be bleeding the club dry, they're really mancs here to destroy the club. Rafa's gonna be sacked and replaced by Joe Cunt yes man, there'll be no money for players, we hate Parry, etc."

And the worst part of it is that it's all based on third/forth hand rumours. Just look at that thread by Tom, which was utterly laughable and pathetic really.

As I say some are absolutely loving it.

You're the one moaning and attacking people for believing the press. You've been moaning at Rafa's tactics and how **** some of our players have been all season and now you're giving lessons.

Cool down mate. Nothing is catastrophic right now. It will be if Rafa doesn't get his way but that is all in the future.

You seem to be one of them Niall. Your vigilante impression is excellent. The stadium farce has made us look silly, and they don't seem to be keeping promises. For example, they are refinancing against the club. Something they promised not to do. This has been confirmed by the financial institutions themselves.

Nobody is calling for G & H's heads, but we've a right to be concerned. Our club never used to get into this sort of ****, at least not publicly. That's what i'm concerned about. If you want to try and tell me not to be, you can **** off.

Take everything you read on the net with a pinch of salt.

To be fair to Tom, anyone who remembered him from KT will know he's on the level.

But that "no melodrama" thread really was poor IMO.

He took info from ViennaMaetro and then twisted it - without stating any facts - to make it sound like a major crisis. When in fact it was just that the club were going to wait until the summer to sign Mascher, and they still might before.
