Pepe Reina has beaten off competition from Dirk Kuyt and Peter Crouch to land the 2006-07 Player of the Year award from the Merseyside branch of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club.
Reina was handed his award by ex-Red David Fairclough at a gala ceremony at Anfield on Sunday night as players from past and present joined with supporters to pay tribute to our undisputed number one.
Kuyt finished in second place in the voting with Crouch settling for third spot.
Other winners on the night were Jay Spearing (Ian Frodsham Young Player of the Year award), Ian St John (the Billy Liddell award), Sami Hyypia (Emlyn Hughes award) and Ian Rush (Tom Saunders award).
Branch secretary Les Lawson said: "It was a great night and there's no doubting that Pepe was a fitting winner of our main award.
"We were delighted to be joined on the night by a number of Liverpool legends and I'd also like to thank the first team members in attendance for coming along."
