So who is it up to to get the best out of the players on the pitch?Originally posted by The Glove View PostEh? He picks the team, he doesnt kick the ball. If you kicked off when you saw the team chosen then fair enough but I dont think anyone wouldve thought with the team picked that we would be playing like this.

No he cant Chris but he has responsibility for results as the manager and if we dont win this he will carry the can for it. You cant tell me you would just shrug your shoulders at a draw at Derby?Originally posted by The Glove View PostHe cant kick the ball for them can he?08-09 Dirk monitor

Off the underside of the crossbar from gerrardLawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

They take the lead and then they sit and gaze at their navel until they let Derby in the game. Its one thing to sit on the lead but you need to at least be more than one goal up and also play possession football."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Some times such things happen, players just don't perform, you can't blame the manager for that.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostNo he cant Chris but he has responsibility for results as the manager and if we dont win this he will carry the can for it.
