5 players rotated after the 4-1 win. I can't say that it's a surprise that we play like that when Rafa insists on heavy rotation.
but we named a good side that should have brushed them aside, we started the game well and derby where anonymous in the first half and we should have killed them off. today's problems have nothing to do with rotation. after the torres goal we switched off thought it would be a walk in the park, gerrard was anonymous for about 80 minutes. derby had two chances we had a buckload. yes we got lucky in the end but derby where lucky the entire game...
i thought we fielded a good side today, one that was miles better that the opposition, but we were'nt clinical enough and should have killed them off early. and at the end of the day they where good enough to produce the results. we have a much more difficult game on sunday and we have to rotate in a tight christmas schedule...

People need to think about their "expectations" and then post. Under Rafa who likes to play "compact" and "control the game" - a 2-1 win away from home against any old ****e is a good results. I don't know what people expect because "spreading the play", "passing and moving" and "weaving pretty patterns" around any team is not the top priority for Rafa. His tactics are to "win the game" and he did that.
I said before, I'd tolerate this brand of football if we challenge for the league but won't cut Rafa any slack if we fail to do so. So I'd say sit back and enjoy the win because tonight Rafa will be a happy man. That was a Rafa type win.
Rafa has addressed the away day blues so there is no complaints from me on results. The bottom line is many of us are pissed off with the style of football, the mentality and the many times we seem to stoop down to the same level of the team we are playing. But won't be worried about that so long as we keep getting the points so to continue to getting pissed off about it after game is tantamount to wanting the manager out because he won't change.

that's quite an assertion, unsupported by the post match comments of Mr Benitez himself...
