Not really been overly impressed with what I have seen of El Zhar. He needs more time and cameos to build up his confidence, same goes for Babel he shows flashes of brilliance then does something daft. Has a long way to go before he is first team material.

He's what 21 or 22 now? Surely if Rafa thought he had the potential to make it he would have seen more first team action by now.

I also think that Babel should start more games.

He did very well late November/early December, I think, when he scored a good few goals mainly coming off the bench.

With the options available to us up front I'd also be interested in seeing him play behind Torres as a second striker. He has the potential to be fantastic and has one wicked hard shot on him - he was very unlucky not to score early on yesterday but for a very good save from their keeper. I think though that Rafa is holding him back a bit in his first season at Anfield as he hardly had much of a break in the summer - he was playing for Holland in that youth tournament.

But go on Rafa, play Babel just off Torres up front for a while!

If we play the 4-5-1 that we did against Wigan again, i'd definately be happier with Babel playing in the hole and Gerrard back in the middle with Masc

He really isn't an out and out striker either so if he should play upfront then it's together with Torres as the second striker but I doubt that Rafa will do that.

Our second striker usually do a lot of hard work to create space for Torres and that isn't Babel's strength.

Thats a nice little theory but from what I've seen, Torres has got a hatful of goals by creating his own space or from when we counter attack.

If Rafa isn't going to play Babel behind Torres then I'd like to see Yossi there. Either that or give Crouch a run of games when he comes back.
