Decent, but not good enough, the story of us in the league under Rafa.
    Summed it up well

We never let them have a sniff. It was all one way. Only brilliant defending stopped a rout. It's a point won not two points lost.

Im uncertain about Kuyts future the more I see him
If we don't think we are challenging for the league, you're right.

Kuyt's confidence is shot to bits. I think if we're going to flog any striker in Jan it should be him.

I was really hoping babel was coming on for Forest Gump.... err.... Kuyt. Would have given us a lot of imagination up front.

All very well, but it's just another in a long line of ineffective performances against teams up at the top. If we don't start winning games like these, we have zero chance of challenging. They set their stall out, played on the counter and packed their own box. We didn;t have enough to break them down. Most teams wouldn't, but it's part of a repeating pattern.

That's what happens when you are consistently played in a role that patently doesn't suit.

Poor bloody poor that, we are standing still AGAIN, like we wasted the best yrs of Owen to win the Prem we now risk doing the same with Gerrard & god forbid Torres too, not enough people seem to realise that H&G will most likely spend yrs dallying with promises & 'Positive Media' statements till yet more great talent go's to waste, or go's begging in the transfer market. We must back up Stevie, Torres & Carra, Agger too with top class players, & hey.....they cost money. Times a passing us on by, AGAIN.

                          Spot on.

We've had too many matches like this over the past couple of seasons.

We need to push on if we are ever to become serious contenders.

Torres was unusually... well ****e today. We'll let him off.
He's a sensational player, one of the best in Europe but thatwas a thoroughly crap performance from him. Was he carrying an injury after the initial tumble with Micah Richards after 5 mins? Because since that incident he seemed to have lost a yard of pace and pretty much miscontrolled every ball that came his way.

He'll probably bounce back against Wigan with a hatrick but today was a real off day for young Fernando.

I agree. Poor lad because he tries so hard but he's simply not good enough to play for a top side. His performance today was gash. In fact both of our strikers had poor games today and they pretty much cost u the points imo.
