Our set pieces have been **** for as long as I can remember, sadly

Aurelio looks like he could cause problems though from them. I'd like to see him take a few more and take Stevie G off corners too. We have noooo creativity at set plays I'm afraid.

Stevie imo is not the man to be taking our free kicks or corners, sure he scores some free kicks and delivers the odd decent corner but not regular enough for me. He should be giving the other lads like Kewell, Aurelio and Benayoun more of a go

We rarely score from corners. Its either the delivery or the targets in the critical areas. I think its the latter. We don't have a lot of height in the box 6ft+ include- (from today's side) Carragher, Gerrard, Kewell, Torres, Kuyt. Either Gerrard or Kewell takes the free kicks so thats one of them gone from the box. In that case, it is essential we win the second balls or try and be inventive when it comes to corners or free kicks

Gerrard should be in the box he is strong in the air or maybe waiting on the edge of the box.
We have no creativity from corners, nothing at all. The last decent corner with something different was when Garcia touched it and then we played on even though we had to retake it.
Something which needs to be worked on in the training ground.

We've scored a few from corners this year which makes a change. I've always said that Gerrard shouldn't take them. He should be lurking on the edge of the area and giving a defender something to think about.

Finnan's got a good cross on him and I dont know why he never takes a corner. Aurelio is handy as well; hopefully he'll stay in the team now.
