    Make or Break fixtures

If we are to win the title, we all agree we need to win all of our matches especially against the teams around us.

Take a look at this (subject to television changes):

    22 March Manchester United (A)
    29 March Everton (H)
    5 April Arsenal (A)

These are very tricky games for us. We don't have a good record against the Big Four. Rafa has never picked a point against them away from home. Last season, Everton came and parked the proverbial bus and gained a point.

This part of the season will give us an inclination on whether we are worthy title challengers or winners. 9 out 9 is required in these matches. 7 out 9 might give us some hope but very little as it is very close of the end of the season but anything less and we can kiss it well and truly goodbye.

Let's hope, we do go for a massive championship style run and go into these games full of confidence and ability to win these crucial games.

We needed to win today yet once again we couldn't capitalise. Every time we miss an opportunity like the one we missed today we get posts saying the following games will make or break our season. And then when we screw up one of the current make or break fixtures we have another thread saying the following games will make or break our season.

    It's all very frustrating.

This is definitely make or break. There's no two ways about it providing we win all of the games going into it

today was one of those games we had to win to stay in it
we might get one or two more chances like this before the end of the season, where some of the other main rivals drop points, but not many..

shame we couldnt jump on them, cause winning away at the top teams grounds is not an easy task

Not a chance this season IMHO.

We've got too much ground to make up and fell further behind Chelsea and Arsenal today.

                March!!!

We'll be out of it well before then...

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

We must win every game at home, no big teams left to play at Anfield. We must also win all the away games except the ones against Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea.

Those games are must win games, then we will have to see what the other top clubs get for results and how many points we need against them.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Let's be brutally honest with ourselves, this current group of players just aren't quite good enough to win the league.

What happened today didn't surprize me one bit, for the past 15 years we've been failing to make up ground when we've had the chance, the fact that we're always playing catch up should tell us something surely?

The good news is that we're very close to changing that dynamic, that's the frustration, rather than it stemming from underachievement of previous seasons.

Looking forward to the European Cup starting again, a competition in which we excel.

But come the summer Rafa has to get ruthless again. The common consensus is well versed by now, we know who needs to go and which positions need strengthening.

The only problem with that is Rafa has his favourites like Kuyt for example.

Will Rafa be man enough to see he ain't good enough and bite the bullet as I'm not sure he will.

Not beating Citeh when we dominated the game from start to finish was unfortunate but not catastrophic. Plenty of poitns left to win and I can see united and arsenal having another bad patch before the season ends. We need to strengthen in January and put a run of 8 - 10 wins together to build up confidence and belief.

Every 4 games we have a thread saying the next 4 games are vitally important. Can we not just agree that every game is important?

We've only lost twice and we are half way through the season, yet we are almost out of the title race. Its so, so difficult to win the league these days.
