Thanjk you.

As thought, there isn't much that separate the mentioned FB's, not enough to slaughter JAR's contribution anyway.
Using this stat on the total quality as a FB is not that useful agreed, but I guess we shouldn't expect THAT much in the final third from a FB as we would like/hope.
Then it's back to deciding who's the best defending FB of the options we got or want RB to buy then I guess?
I don't think it is too much to ask for fullbacks to perform consistently like Aurelio did against City.
Yesterday was a bit of an eye-opener for me.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Ok, when Aurelio starts getting picked and gets those assists and goals, then fine. AND great for us (because I actually don't care who's playing, only what they do out there).
But I'm not sure, even if Aurelio is a better passer and so on, that he will contribute more with assists and goals than JAR. Time will tell I guess.
The fact is that JAR isn't the only FB amongst the top teams that's not banging in the goals or picking up assists.
So it's not fair so single him out and pointing out his short comings in that department at least.
Checkpoint, i don't give a fiddlers about the other three clubs all i'm concerned about is Liverpool football club and Riise is very poor at left back and worse at right midfield and i have seen most Liverpool games this season so i also know that Aurellio was superb yesterday and showed what we have being missing with Risse playing there if you can't see this well, i give up on you , if Stats where everything Sam Allardyce would be the best manager in England.

Oh dear, PLEASE read the threadstarters first post, so you get what I'm pointing out.
In which the following was stated:
'Chelsea have Cole and Arsenal have Clichy. All 3 players are a constant attacking threat, providing real width in the final third. Arsenal in particular use both their full backs in the attacking third, because they like us, lack any real width in midfield'
See it now? My case is that JAR (or Finnan/Arbeloa for that matter) is not any worse than any FB at those teams when it comes to offensive contribution. And you would HAVE to look at those stats, there is no other way to measure offensive contribution is there?
Debate all you want about JAR's other short comings, but use another thread for that please. I'll join you there and argue with you (and probably agree)that we defensivly could use a better option than JAR.

Goals and assists would be great.
But I wouldn't mind neither of the above if Aurelio at least provides a consistent threat.
