What spells more goal threat to you: Kuyt and Gerrard at CM or Gerrard and Alonso at CM. I'd much rather see Kuyt in there and Alonso or Mascher on the bench. I find this lineup bizarre for a home match all though I'm sure we'll win.

I have a nagging doubt, that I'm ignoring, you could be right - I think this could either be a very positive formation or a very negative formation. Depends how many goals we score. and how Wigan play - we could be forced back and it will become a defensive formation or it could be floodgates. An early goal will help.
