sorry fella, my post just followed yours, not aimed at youOriginally posted by Hot Carl View PostI agree. No dramas from me, but surely we can point out some of our glaring deficiencies?
We're often 0-0 at home at half-time. It'll come."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"

Christ! I agree with all thatOriginally posted by paulcooper4 View PostReds playing well. Just need that 1st goal which is always a cunt when playing against a team intent on not getting ****ted.
Kewell playing like a mong, need to get yossi on to replace him at half time.
Pennant doing well but will probably tire soon so I would bring crouch on after 60 minutes and stick Gerrard on the right wing.
If we get a goal early in the second half we will go on to **** them, but if it doesnt happen, be patient, it WILL come eventually.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Number of strikers does not = attacking intent.
We should be able to break Wigan down with the system we're playing now.
Our wide men are letting us down though, and Gerrard needs to get on the ball more.A humble guy with healthy desire.

We need to take off Mascher, leave Alonso on for his distribution and bring on Crouch.Originally posted by johnp View PostHope its for Kewell. Pennant has looked more lively than Kewell.
I can see what Rafa's done, anticipated that Wigan would park the bus and tried to overwhelm them with several options from midfield but its not working as well as it should.
Kewell has indeed lost any pace he once had.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Eh, if you are taking about being muscled out of the ball then you don't need to look any further than Pennant. He tries to save himself by diving when he loses the ball. At least Kewell stands up and tries to get it back.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostAgreed. Kewell has been horrible.
At least Pennant has got into positions to put crosses in. He's been able to beat his man and show a bit of pace and trickery. Kewell keeps losing posession and getting muscled off the ball. He doesn't have the pace or muscle to compete.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yea but they have 3/4 midfielders that can score goals. Also have Gallas and Toure chiping in with crucial goals. We don't. Torres and Stevie have nearly scored half of our goals this season.Originally posted by Hot Carl View PostWhy is everyone crying about having 1 up?
Arsenal have played with just Adebayor up front on his own for about 2 months, yet no-one ever points to that because they usually win. It doesn't necessarily spell out negativity.

Wigan picked 2 strikers, we started with 1.Originally posted by kopdan View Postsome of you are so fickle its untrue
Wigan have come to get a draw. Of course it will be hard to break them down.
Wigan have come as close to scoring as we have.
Brown's effort could well have beaten Pepe if it was on target.
Kirkland hans't really been tested yet, our efforts on target have been comfortable for him.
Torres and Gerrard have linked up well at times but for the most part Nando has found himself having to battle against 2, 3 or more defenders on his own which, to be honest, is ridiculous for a team playing at home.

It's faur enough saying we only need 1 up front, but you need performances from your wide men if that's the case, we didn't see that in the first half - so what do you do? Continue into the second on the hope that the wide players will produce a moment of magic? Or change a few things and play more through the middle with Crouch?
I'd give it a maximum of 15mins in the second half as is then make the change to 2 up top if nothing has changed.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
