        At the result.
        Bruce never cared about the cups, but I misread it, never beaten him in the league, and still hasn't.

          Logging off till Saturday, I can't be bothered with all the histrionics on here on top of dropping the points. Night all.

            Posted this at 5.30, it'll do for now as well. This has been coming ever since the wheels started to come off following an impressive start to the year. I don't want to hear any bollocks about '**** off and support another club' and 'get behind the team.' It's goo-eyed sheepish amn't I a great superfan-acceptance of muck like this for the last 5 years that has us in the situation we are:

            +++++

            Fathead almost always gets 'good' results at Anfield - which means showing zero ambition and getting a nil-nil or spawny 1-0.

            These are the types of games I dread, where teams pack the defence and we either struggle to break them down or choke on the chances we do create. Whether we win or not as regards a 'title challenge' is somewhat moot. I think we all know there's less 'West Ham results' left in United & Co. than there is Reading and Birmingham results left in us. Over the course of the next few months I expect us to cement fourth and be closer than last year, but not by nearly enough. We could win tonight but whether through occasionally muck performances or just an element of bad luck like against Citeh, I think we all know we'll drop too many points between here and May to be at the business end of a league thrust.

                It wasn't very good really, no real urgency or cohesion.....very dissapointing.

                  I think it's high time we all pulled our heads out of our arses. Kewell, Pennant, Benayoun! Finnan's ****ing about cost us that. We're trying to play a passing game without having the quality to do it. That was a ****ing disaster waiting to happen. I don't think Rafa has anywhere near the support some would lead us to believe.

                            Do you want Rafa to get into the pitch and finish the chances we make himself? Do you want him to get into our box and show our players how to clear a soft free kick?

                            We fail in the simple things, the simple things which teams like the mancs know how to deal with. An offside trap after a corner, a simple clearance out of the box, a simple finish with the keeper on the ground, a simple finish one on one with the keeper with no defenders around you and all the time to control the ball... It's these simple things, not tactics, not formation, not even ability have to do with it. It's the basics of the game.
                            He's the manager!!! Its his players, his tactics, his formation. He has to take the majority of the blame. How ca you not blame it on tactics???

                            I can't help but start to think that another manager would be getting more out of this bunch of players, however average some of them are.

                            "If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

                            I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

                              Pathetic performance. We need some wholesale changes this month if were serious about winning this year.

                                Disagree. This current side exudes Rafa's cautious philosophy towards the game. People dwell on the games we should have won like this one and citeh. But what about all the points we've been lucky to get? Everton away, Fulham at home etc.
