Well I take it on the chin, at least I'm not a ****in' woman.

But have you understood my point Kaip, or is it really difficult for you to see it ? It's probably easier taking jibes at me isn't it ?

Now, please have an intelligent and sensible debate about football. That wasn't anything to do about it.

of course you see more at the stadium, you see everything..players positioning, the way they play and more.
Watching on the telly is completly different.
1st time I took the MRS to Anfield she saw ZIEGE and said to me "is he not a left back, what is he doin' over there"
There you have it, a lass at Anfield for the 1st time noticed players positioning was wrong.

          Lads, we're not far off.

Get another quality left winger, striker and defender and we won't be far off.

All this is possible this January/Summer.

What we don't need are rash decisions.

Then let's do a Newcastle and sack everyone who doesn't "earn" his time as we see it. Let's sack any manager who doesn't win us the league in 2-3 years and let's see where it takes us. I'll tell you where it takes us, history has proven it time and time again- Nowhere.

I usually try to stay out of post match debate when I return home but tonight was the first time in the kop I have heard most of the lads (and the few girls ;-) ) around me start to lose faith in Rafa, lads I would never have dreamed of hearing them say it. The tide is turning against Rafa I feel, it is still split but another home performance and setup like that at home and that'll be it I'm afraid.

I ****ing love the guy but it is getting ****ing hard to defend his decisions. 4-51 at home against any team is a ****ing disgrace and INEXCUSABLE! Can anyone offer an explanation to why he done this. Apologies if someone has already, I haven't read the thread fully.

Also, Crouch should of been on at 60-65 mins. What is he meant to do with 6 mins? Although saying that I suppose its debatable what he would of done if he played from the start.

I also agree with Charlesmanson, how do you explain taking off your RW a few mins after putting Crouch on? How is that ever going to work?

Like I said I love the guy, as do the lads I sit with at the game, but how do we defend or explain the two decisions mentioned above. I just hope this is a glitch and he can turn it around, but I'm starting to lose faith he can. I have seen tonights game too many times now.

Top post mate, I know exactly how you feel.
i love Rafa for what he's achieved in europe but whilst I didn't expect us to win the league this season I did expect us to significantly close the gap. Our home form as been shocking this season. against only Chelsea and Pompey have we really played well.

In terms of attacking play we are a 2 man team. Only torres and SG offer any consistant goal threat. If they don't play to their very high level we struggle to create. Of our other strikers only Crouch should tay and he's been shockingly under used. Of oue wode players only Benny has real class and even he always looks to come inside. Kewell is knackered, Pennant not good enough and Babel though promising is very raw.

At the back we are solid but lack composure on the ball. Only agger can hurt the opposition with the ball at his feet.

In short Rafa's won't last into next season in my view. The Yanks alreadt want shut and tonight for the 1st time Rafa was starting to lose The kop. its all so very similar to the GH days.

                      very very sad night indeed.

4 years and we're closer to Blackburn than we are to the top. Want to compare the pending of us and Blackburn over the years?

How long do we give him? Are you going to be saying the same thing if he hasn't had the funds and hasn't won the league i another 4 years?

Even if I haven't been able to watch a match at Anfield doesn't make me less knowledgeable than you.

No, I'm stone sober - not drinking in January

Please take my comments as tongue in cheek, bit of banter, but you're completely wrong about being at the stadium.

                            a) You see a hell of a lot more as Redscouser says
                            b) If anything any moaning gob****es just irritate me into thinking the complete opposite of them.

I don't think we were brilliant tonight, nowhere near as well played as you said we were. Shocking in defence, and gave the ball away too much.

However I do think people are being overly negative - 4-3-3 is a perfectly good formation.... we just had the wrong players in it tonight. We also created more than enough to win at a canter.

Christ, about a month ago we scored 25 goals in 7 games or something, we can't be that bad.
                            Quote of the year :

"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"

As long as we continue to progress as a team, he needs to continue as our manager. We are a better team than last season, the signings he has made in the summer range between promising and fantastic. Now is not the time to be an impatient spoiled Newcastle fan and pack it in.

I have said it and I think it's clear. If you're at pitch level you tend to miss on areas on the pitch (assuming you're at that level). Why does Rafa think it's important to watch DVD's of games then ?
