That'd be the figure I'd be looking for - and at that level I would be selling....

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

    A defensive mid for £18m?

Well considering Zidane holds the record at £45million. He's nowhere near Zidane's ability and there hasn't been a transfer near hat fee for a long time. So, taking that into account i reckon £28-£32million, though having said that i wouldn't sell him for a penny less than £50million.

I do think the transfer record will go soon, presumably for Kaka or hopefully the pony at the scum.

only 4 players have ever gone for over 30million but i still reckon if stevie went in the next year or so he would fetch 40 million, think ronaldo would go for 50million, its 7 years since the record has been smashed!!

            20 million, tops.

            I'd sell.

Depends on how long is left on his contract and whether he wants to leave.

If he wants to leave I reckon we'd get between 30 and 40 million.

I reckon his market value is 25-30mill. His value to us is far higher however, so unless he wants to leave in future i can't see anyone offering an amount that we'd sell for.

I used to think i'd be devasated but not anymore. I'd be more gutted if Rafa went that Stevie.

Chelsea were ready to brake the record with about 35mill£ so I'd say it's between 30 and 40 somewhere. If we sold for less than 25 we would be morons.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.
