as someone said earlier, it looks like they want to have their cake and eat it
Or maybe they can't really afford the stench of further corruption around their club at this moment in time.

            I disagree.

I also think your attacks on Rafa are pretty consistent with media analysis.

What a sh!tty cheap tabloid 'story'.

It's not our responsibility to offer handouts to the likes of Luton. And us providing them with 200k won't exactly cure their long term financial problems. Luton should be ashamed of themselves for even asking for our gate receipts. What would the likes of Chesterfield, Port Vale and Bournmouth think of us if we decided to help Luton out?

I have the utmost sympathy for Luton fans who have to endure seeing their club going down the pan because of the inability of their owners to run the club properly.

                Attacks?

                You mean insightful contributions?

If I wanted to attack him, I'd call him a fat, arrogant, anal retentive, control freak, who restricts good football, but I didn't.

I think you might be confusing 'attack' with 'abuse' and 'insight' with 'orthodoxy'.

So when your views coincide with the prevailing wisdom in the media why is it anything other than 'cowardice'?

Of course, I wouldn't dream of calling you a coward. I can think of another word but hey we're all complicated people* with complex worldviews.

I fail to see why it's pathetic, we wouldn't be saving Luton with an extra 100.000 pounds, they are so royally ****ed up by all accounts that it would hardly make any difference. I saw one article claiming they are losing 400.000 pounds a month......thats 100.000 a week, so we would keep them a float for an extra week. And all this when we are having huge difficulties ourselves with raising funds for the stadium and players.

The local news have been reporting for a while that there are parties looking to invest in the club and if the money were to allow them a week extra to negotiate these deals and avoid administration that could make a huge (10pts) difference to their season and possibly survival as a club.

On the other had if it was to go straight to the banks and benefit the club in no real way then it would be a pointless gesture. However i do feel we should be looking to do something for them either officially as the club or the supporter base. Not saying that I have a solution in terms of supporters if money in the short term is not what will help the club.
