I'd heard about the disagreement over training methods etc but I thought the reason Pako went was because he went for an interview for the Bilbao job (without Rafa's permission) and also refused to be on the team photo this year.

Just goes to show that nobody really knows the REAL reason.

But someone mentioned Babel on here during the week,said that Pako didn't want us to sign him,said we didn't need him or something?

Apologies but I missed this when it was going on,I was on sabatical from Est at the time.

I'm sure it been covered but someone mentioned the Babel signing as a contributor to the fallout,can anyone shed some light.

As far as I recall, Rafa and Packo were bickering for a while.
It was getting Childish between them, Packo sayiing do you want me to leave, I will leave etc over a period of time. Just differences of opinions I think and ego. I'd say fitness workouts could have been the final straw though. Also, Rafa brought in more trainers while Packo was still with us. Another fact that could have been a strong contributor.
Whatever the reasons anyway, it was probably for the best, if that s what the relationship was like. Saying that though, we could do with a proper Number 2 for Rafa.
