Your anti Rafa agenda is now not only completely obvious to the most short sighted, but also incredibly boring and predictable.Originally posted by bigfooty View PostHard to say but it is clear he's lost the dressing room. The players displayed virtually no heart, no will to fight, we lost most of the 50-50s.
You're much better off sticking to the match commentary.

I make no bones about it, in the league I've felt Rafa wasn't going to deliver for over a year now. As a Liverpool fan though it is incredibly frustrating to go through games like this when we just look a pale shadow of the side we were even a couple of seasons ago.Originally posted by Robster007 View PostYour anti Rafa agenda is now not only completely obvious to the most short sighted, but also incredibly boring and predictable.

I had it in my sig a couple of months ago - Rafa has lost his way and will lose the fans. A few dazzling European performances apart there's no indication of a corner turning, we're entirely reliant on two players to spark us as we were under Ged.

If Rafa is backed this window and in the summer, and then still fails to deliver, i'll be willing to look at the situation regarding him a bit more closely. As has been mentioned before, whiskey nose was given 7-8 years before he delivered the title and look at what he's doing now.Originally posted by bigfooty View PostI make no bones about it, in the league I've felt Rafa wasn't going to deliver for over a year now. To suggest he's lost the dressing room is a joke though. He's had little or no money so far and I think it's the players who need to take a long hard look at themselves after the last 2 matches.
Someone said today proved we've got nothing without our 2 star players. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I watched them play in the last match where we were just as poor, against a worse team than Luton were today. They played out of their skin and deserve a lot of credit. That's the one...

How much has he recouped?Originally posted by bigfooty View Post125M is little or no money? What the ****?
I don't really want to get involved in the money-in, money-out debate, but we need a few transfer windows of bringing world class players in, ala manyoo and chelski. 3 or 4 more. The owners, it seems, have led us all up the garden path and aren't going to give us that. That's what I was under the impression was going to be the case. Oh, along with a big new flash stadium.
What happened to that? That's the one...

£63m money recouped.
So net spending of £63m in four summers. An average of £16m a year (excluding this January where I doubt we'll spend any more money).
Not an impressive war chest, is it.
If they are true figures, how the **** can anyone lay into Rafa about the team etc. Look at the quality of player we have now compared to before he came. And with that money.
What say you Bigfooty? That's the one...

Recouped on what, players that were no longer good enough or wanted to stay at the club?
Name one player Rafa has been forced to sell who wanted to stay at the club and who we needed to stay at the club? Owen? He wanted to go to Real. Garcia? He wanted to go back to Spain. Pongo? He knew he wasn't going to get a chance here.

What does that have to do with anything? A big club doesn't sell its good players to get money for them. What do you want him to do? Sell Gerrard?Originally posted by bigfooty View PostRecouped on what, players that were no longer good enough or wanted to stay at the club?

£63m is the correct figure Rafa has spent on transfers and that's what he should be judged on. Anything else is a spin.

You're deliberately twisting the facts to accommodate your agenda. No-one's saying he was forced to sell them. It's well documented he hasn't had the same funds as the other "big" teams. What he's got with the money is immense. Without having recouped the cash he had, we wouldn't have the players we now have.Originally posted by bigfooty View PostRecouped on what, players that were no longer good enough or wanted to stay at the club?

As I said in another thread, who would you prefer? Klinsmann? Mourinho?
Pray tell, i'm really interested to hear. That's the one...
