he hasn't the positional sense, nor the self control

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey
Didn't he start his professional football career as a striker? That'd be interesting from striker to midfielder to defender and then to finish his career in goal.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

i know that he is leaving(reading the other thread) but can Sissoko be developed into another Carra??
What do you think?
good shout, in a ledley king sort of way.
Not for me though, his tackling style in that area of the field would be a disaster IMO. Also he would very easily be drawn into chasing the ball instead of holding his position.
He can play where he likes as long as he's playing for another club.
I appreciate all he did in his first year when we needed a bit more steel away from home and workrate to win the ball back but the harsh facts are he isn't technically good enough and gives away possession far too easily
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
Isn't good enough when heading the ball, and like has been mentioned you'd take away his one world class attribute of charging around for the full game making improbable tackles.
I can only tell, that it can be done quite succesfully in FM08 - and as we all know is a good indicator for life in every sense, which leaves me wondering why I haven't become a manager yet!!
