Rafa has daily contact with the players. I think it's more than likely that he has asked them not to come out and support him for various reasons. Surely he would be able to get a vast number of players to go public with support if he wanted them to.

Imagine all the players going public to support Rafa and what that potentially would mean to an already strained relationship between Rafa and the owners.

There is a reason for the silence imho.

A point I was going to make. Stevie could lead better on the field at times. He speaks of his need to win the league, but there are times when he is distictly quiet on the field. When things are at a low ebb, he needs to inspire.
