Whos available at the moment? Surely we could have afforded Ribery in the summer. We need to find a top class winger between now and next season than we will kick on a level.
TBH there are not that many wingers around of "Ronaldo's" quality. I like the look of Nasri from LOM. Queresma is a bit of a showpony with no end product. Not a fan of Mancini don't think he would cut it in the Prem, I think Ribery is another over rated french player and if he was good enough Wenger would have signed him. I don't think we really need out and out wingers but we do need creative midfielders who can penetrate defences with passes, who can run with the ball and beat players and who can score and create goals!!
Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U get their width from their full backs (Cole, Ferreira, Balletti, Clichy, Sagna, Evra etc..) even Ronaldo comes inside and swaps positions which is part of the reason he scores so may goals.
The one who got away was Alves when we didn't shell out a couple of extra mill 18 months or so ago. He'll go for twice as much as we bulked at paying
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
your inability to understand simple English astounds me.
PS, dont put dots at the end of your sentence as if the 'good' signings go on because they don't.
And the good signings equal about 10% of the ****e ones. You spoil your argument there. We have lost little money on any of Rafa's poor signings. Diouf, Cisse and Le Tallec have been our major poor signings. Under Rafa our good signings are starting to heavily outweigh the bad ones, and Houllier was decent in the transfer market until he bought Diouf.
I don't like you. Refreshingly honest
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.
