I am not for the club running to the press to react to bollocks continuously, but this cannot go past uncommented.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

9th January: Meeting of leaders Bayern. They do not want to lose time as Klinsmann an attractive offer from Liverpool. As in England favorable tax rates prevail, it must Bavaria deep in the pocket to keep it to be at least 8 million per year.

All Rags are the same, especially when it comes to LFC. But if Bayern THEMSELVES have released this it's BAD BAD news. We'll see.

More recently, he had been linked with Newcastle and Liverpool, but when asked why he had chosen Bayern over the Premier League, he replied: "Because I did not have any offers from England."
He added: "Bayern is the number one club in this country and I had a lot of other options, but this was by far the best offer I received."

So Klinsmann comes out with the above yet some people choose to believe stories coming from a 'high ranking Bayern official'. Amazing.

I remember last year Klinsmann was linked with Chelsea's post but it was a complete non starter, everyone knew it apart from the press who had a hard on with the story for a good month or so. Isn't it obvious, that it's his agent feeding the press with all these stories to keep his profile up in the press?

Do you really think that Klinsmann would admit in front of the press if he had any offers from other clubs?

I don't. The reason is that Klinsmann knows just like everyone else that if he admitted that then it would be bye, bye to that manager. That would really show a lack of respect.

Surely he could've said that he had offers from England?? He said he didn't and that should be case closed.

Bayern have been looking for a manager for quite somtime now and weren't they linked to Rafa a couple of months ago? Didn't Bayern officials claim that he was their no.1 choice? If they knew that Rafa was about to be replaced by Klinsmann why didn't they go for Rafa armed with the info he was about to be sacked to be replaced by a mangerial nobody? This could all be bull****...but you get my point.

The press have it in for Rafa.

Because so many of you choose to believe everything that's written in the press, have you forgotten about the below? According to the article, Rafa was Bayern's choice to replace Hitzfeld. Rafa rejcted their alleged approaches because he wanted to stay at Liverpool. If Klinsmann really was offered the LFC job and Bayern knew about it why didn't they tell Rafa and thus try to lure him to Bayern? ITS ALL BULL**** THATS WHY.

Rafael BenÍtez, the Liverpool manager, has outlined his ambitions for long-term success with the club after rejecting a discreet inquiry from Bayern Munich about his services. The Spaniard was approached last week by a third party claiming to represent Bayern, but he has made clear his desire to stay at Anfield, where he is plotting more significant moves during the January transfer window.

“It is always flattering to be linked with other big clubs because it must mean you are doing something right,” BenÍtez said. “But even if I was approached, I would tell whichever club it was that I am really happy with my club, my squad, my supporters and my city. There are still many things I want to do here, so I am planning on being here for a long time.”

BenÍtez’s willingness to reject Bayern is not a surprise, given that he had rejected overtures from Real Madrid, but it is encouraging for Liverpool supporters to hear the former Valencia coach speaking so warmly of his present club and life on Merseyside. Twice since joining Liverpool in 2004 BenÍtez has caused concern among the Liverpool hierarchy by hinting at a future in Italy or Spain, but he appears more eager than ever to stay long term.

We all know that the press want Rafa sacked but Klinsmann would never say in front of the press that he had any offer from another club because everyone know which club that would be, Liverpool.

Mourinho was their first choice followed by Rafa but both of them turned them down according to my friend. The Bayern officials didn't say that he was their number one choice, just one of the names they considered.
