It says they have spent 160 million since 1992. They have spent 30 million on Rio, 20+ on Rooney and Veron, 18 on Carrick, Hargreaves and Nistelrooy, 12 for Ronaldo Anderson, Saha and Nani (roughly), and Staam was 10+........

These players add to about 180 million...........still leaving out a whole host of players........Vidic, Evra, Johnsen, several keepers, Heinze and god knows who.

Besides it's hardly fair IMO cmparing the spending of those teams back to 1992. Ferguson has been the whole time but Liverpool have had Rafa, Ged, Evans and Souness while Arsenal have had Wenger and Graham? So Liverpool have had to rebuild after Souness, Evans and Ged while Ferguson struck gold with the youngsters and admittedly did well to use them all.

Also the nature of the transfer market has changed so much since '92, hardly comparable with the Bosman deals and inflated fees, especially for english players.

Well how accurate this is I don't know, but Mancs did sell some players for a good money, like Beckham,Stam,Ruud. This season they collected 24m for some reall ****e players(Richardson,Heince,Smith,Rossi). Still I don't think it's like you've written. Are you sure it was from Delloite?
