"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

                        Keane respects Anfield traditions

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is looking forward to his first visit to Anfield as manager when his side take on Liverpool on Saturday.
Keane was a Manchester United stalwart but has nothing but respect for one of his old club's bitterest rivals.

He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "I've been to Anfield a few times to see them play and they've always shown me respect.

"After the game we [Sunderland] played Liverpool, Rafa Benitez and his staff were different class."

As a player and United captain Keane might have expected to come under quite a bit of stick, but Keane is adamant he has always received a fair deal from the Kop.

He said: "Obviously I had a great rivalry with them when I was a United player but I always had a great respect for Liverpool as a football club and hopefully that will never change.

"They didn't give me any better or worse receptions than a lot of players that go to Anfield, if you play for their main rivals you'll always get a bit of stick."

A mate of mine who is a Manc for his sins, says that in Keane's autobiography he is respectful towards us and our fans. He made his league debut at Anfield for Forest and talks in the book about how great it was to play in front of fans who understood the game.
