Possibilty in certain games I suppose where we need to be very solid defensively. I wouldnt like to see it myself though, he deserves a starting berth in the centre of defence for his excellent form over the past year.

I can see Skrtel just being eased in for the time being. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future though. Is he here purely to provide quality cover and kick Carra and Agger up the arse, how often will Rafa change CB selection depending on who we play etc etc? What does this mean for the 2,321.4 young CBs Rafa bought for the ressies, like Hobbs?
