    I cant say im his biggest fan cuase I always expect CM to score goals and THAT IS his major downfall ATM

    But I do admire his other qualities, plus his honesty now ............

        The fact that Momo is being allowed to leave suggests that he will stay. I think that perhaps the owners have asked Rafa to sell a player to create space for his permamnent signing and as such Momo is off.

        I guess we'll see but Momo going gives me more hope that Mascher will stay.

          He has got himself into some goal scoring positions lately. Not loads but he can jink around the defence a bit eh!?

          I reckon 3 or 4 goals a season would be decent.

            He only has 3 in his whole career, so you're probably pushing it a bit!

                He fired two this summer for Argentina. Just like that. Dunnno what happend.

                I think the lag of goals is a drawback. Just like I think it is for Alonso. Not many assists either. Obviously he makes it possible for others to deliver more end product but still.

                Great little player though who will only get better.

                    Nobody ever complained about Makalele's lack of goals and he was a crucial part of Chelsea winning the league back to back although other players got more of the glory. Although technically he is a midfielder, to me Mascher is an extra defender - a sweeper, if you like, who plays in front of the back four so I don't expect him to get any more goals than, say, Carra or Alvaro. But, then again, Sami pops a few in now and then and Danny Agger's got a couple of crackers, so I'd like to see Javier break his duck some time!

                      You would like to think the signs are good.

                      As has been mentioned before, you can understand G & H raising an eyebrow or two at the idea of investing significantly in a position where we already have 4 internationals. I don't think that's unreasonable.

                      I think it is safe to assume Sissoko is being sold to accomodate Mascherano.

                        I think Benitez has more of a game plan than a lot of people give him credit for.

                          He has got the attitude every liverpool player should have, also as a bonus he has got the abilty to be one of the best in his position in the world.

                          Forget wether he scores goals or creates them, thats not his job.
