TBH even if we manage to get back into this game I am deeply concerned about how we are playing at the moment. You can understand why the americans are reluctant to give rafa money (apparently)

What's Rafa going to say now...."Well done lads....your doing well....keep it up....I shall be swapping it around a bit on 75th minute
"
City & Everton are creeping up now....only a matter of time...Villa up next...."If it's sent by ship then it's a cargo, if it's sent by road then it's a shipment..."

Hope not.Originally posted by Philosophia View PostWell, I guess we can see how this is going to go. We will struggle along until about the 60th minute, when Rafa will take off somebody like Benayoun and put on Kuyt. Then, about he 80th minute, Babel will come on and we will look like getting an equalizer for about five minutes, and then Boro will get a second.
As far as our style of play is concerned, we have regressed to Houllier's long-ball-to-a-fast-striker approach.
But I think you might be right.
A big 15 minutes coming up for Rafa here.
For a change he needs to grow a pair of bollocks, give these a rocket, and make major changes at half time.
Alonso and Babel on, Voronin and Riise off.
That was horrible.I hate Polanski

Very true, I guess im so used to him doing just that. My personal opinion is that him and Mascher do not work as well as some think. Xabi, Mascher middle. Gerrard on the right, we have not got the players to play any other way.Originally posted by DJS View PostGerrard's dragged us through on plenty of occasions, he certainly isnt the problem.'I couldn't settle in Italy - it was like living in a foreign country.' - Ian Rush

The players aren't good enough that's why. As Much as I like Rafa, when it comes to attacking players, he is very, very poor at choosing the right ones to buy, with the exception of Torres.Originally posted by DJS View PostIf he's such a great motivator, why is he underachieving so badly with a strong squad?
Are you suggesting he is getting the best out of them?
Because THAT would indeed be bollocks. Whether you eye-roll or otherwise.

You can blame him for picking them though!!Originally posted by disco View PostCan't blame Rafa for Voronin and Riise's performances. The players are ****ing good enough to win this game, but they're not doing their job.
However he earns his money now at half time
Let's see what happens.Dare we believe

Time for G&H to back Rafa 100% or sell up.
We need to sign a high quality attacking player this window or else we won't have any chance to finish in the top four.
If Torres gets injured then we are ****ed.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
