I think Gerrard is playing so deep because there's very little happening elsewhere in attack.

He's naturally coming deep to get the ball.

Whether he likes it or not it's time for him to do some duty on the right-side of midfield. Not as an attacking midfielder ahead of Xabi & Mascher but on the right, linking up with Finnan, providing crosses for Torres and Crouch to attack.

Stevie is so good we should build the team around his best qualities. However - I simply don't believe that's the case and although his goal return is good his general play isn't anywhere near the level his ability deserves.

To get the best out of Gerrard, you let him roam around the pitch, with Masch and Xabi behind him. However this means we have to play one upfront, which causes a forum meltdown when results dont go our way a la wigan.

For me, our team plays at its best, when gerrard is left free to roam from the right and cause havoc as defenders cannot pick up any of his runs just like Ronaldo. It also adds balance to our team because when Gerrard is in the middle we lack balance.

However, this only works if Gerrard 'wants' to play there.

hes gotten his chance in the middle and his contribution is no better than when hes on the right.

We are pathetic at selling players, though, we just loan them out for a few months, Parry has to be the ****test CE in the premiership.

If you had Sissoko on loan for six months you would realise in that time how **** he is, Juventus wont be so keen on spending 10million on him in the summer IMO

maybe he's disapointed at out title chances going up in smoke, he was having one of the best goal scoring seasons of his life (second only to torres) and the ****ers around him are chipping in, obviously we want out captain to be fired up, but when other couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo after he's run his socks off in a match, it must leave him feeling a bit dejected

Riise is muck, Aurelio every time, and i think i'd have alonso in for lucas, for the time being at least to see if he can play his way into form, the rest seems fair enough, but gerrard will always drift into the center, as will babel so no real width
