He has been promised that they will let him leave at the end of the season. He has been linked with every big club on the planet, including us.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View PostContractually - what's his situation with Bremen?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I have no idea mate. But isnt this his second season for Werder Bremen? He probably signed a four or five year contract. I believe we could get him for less then £20 mill.No small toffees for feast tonight

The question is, does Rafa want this kind of player. Imo it would take us to another level. No small toffees for feast tonight

Rafa's a strange guy, he's so defensively minded. It's a good way of thinking in a way but not from an attractive attack minded point of view.
He is changing his way of thinking though and is gradually coming round to the idea of bringing more attacking/flair players into the squad. He's just very cautious about who he buys with regards to an attacking sense. As somone pointed out on an earlier post, he just wants to keep clean sheets and not concede a goal, that's his mindset.
This is why I can't see him going for this guy.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Well, he wanted Nasri and he is the same type of player and Aimar if you believe what Johnny H said back on KT.Originally posted by Jan-Erik View PostThe question is, does Rafa want this kind of player. Imo it would take us to another level.
Alves and Mancini are two other flair players that he has missed out on.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

But if he really wanted a Diego/Nasri type player to play behind a striker he would have bought someone we could afford/was available. He could use Benny in that position, but dont. Instead he plays Kuyt or Voronin behind Torres. Sometimes he plays Gerrard behind Torres but Gerrard isnt that type of player either. No small toffees for feast tonight

Kewell/Benny should play behind Torres IMO until we sign another better option.

Arbeloa-----Carra-----Agger------Aurelio
----------Masch------Lucas/Xabi-------
------Gerrard----Kewell/Benny----Babel-------
-----------------Torres-----------------Just believe and you never know what will happen.

But Xabi before lucas.
Question - would Skrtel had been in the lineup if he was under 20?

No. We will see how good he is. Carra would be the one who would be benched if he is good enough.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

IMO Gerrard has gone down hill since Torres stepped up and started winning games for us as Stevie normally does. Don't know if there's anything in it, but he does have a bit of an ego.Originally posted by slimbimjim View PostPerhaps Gerrard needs some time to get his **** together?
Just putting it out there...
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He would have used a 3-5-2 formation

Mascherano,Torres and Reina are the only 3 players that played well today. The rest didnt deserve to wear the shirt.
IMO I think it is quite obvious that there is trouble in the ranks! Im losing faith in Gerrard...its time he came out publically and backed Rafa (as capt). I dont think the hollywood star has the b*lls! He was cat today. We are in severe danger of losing a UEFA spot never mind Champions league spot. Did anyone else feel that the teams control of the ball was Sunday league in todays game??
