    Reserve and Youth team players.

Surely now is the time to give them a chance.I'm not talking about 5or6 players but 2or3 have to be given a chance.

Insua has to be better than Riise. If he is good enough he is old enough and if he cant make the grade then out with the other dead wood, but at least give the guy a chance.I cant go through watching Riise play for us again.

Nemeth is **** hot in reserves(yes I know it's a lesser level) but he stands out and has a bit about him.Voronin surely cant be better than this kid.

Spearing although he is a centre mid,I would still bring him through.Another player with vision and an eye for a pass.Start him on the right or even bring him on.He must be chomping at the bit looking at some of the CRAP in the first team squad. He would give his all and give 100% everytime.
From seeing him with the youths and reserves he seems like a character and that is something we are clearly lacking.

Just on todays game. They had a debutant at left back and he got off lightly.
We should have peppered him all game.
Babel is a out and out striker and Ray Charles could see it.
Agger has to play the next game and start bringing the ball out from the back.
Hoofing has to stop.Fat Sam would be proud of it.
    We are Liverpool.Pass and move.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
    everyone wants to know

I'm with you on most of that Postie.

How on earth Insua hasn't got his chance this season I'll never know. He's looked solid in the reserves whilst Riise has been piss poor and Aurelio, well, injured for most of the season. With Finnan either injured or woefully short of form himself Arbeloa is needed on the right.

Nemeth has only had a few games for the reserves, although scoring in most, so he could probably do with a settled run at the lower level. But as you say, he'd surely be more potent than Voronin (and Kuyt for that matter) so deserves at least an appearance at some stage (tuesday?)in the cup.

As for Spearing I really feel for the lad. He's been a consistent superstar for the reserves and often our motm at that level - for some time now. Granted we've pretty stocked at CM in our 1st team squad but he simply should have been played in the Carling cup at least. He deserves a start (CM/RM/RB) on tuesday against a Luton team there for the taking. When else is he ever going to get a chance to prove himself?

With a whole clutch of decent u-18's coming through it's high time Rafa proved he means to give all this young talent he's accumulating a chance.

They can do no worse than what's ahead of them I feel.
It will send out a message to a few first team players that there time is up too.Sadly I doubt we will see any of them though.
Rafa is a stubborn man and will put faith in the players who let him down weekly and he could regret it long term and he could lose his job because of them.Hope not though because even though he is a frustrating man you got to love him and appreciate the changes he has made and the great times he has given us.

I don't think sending kids out is going to be the answer, especially with Nemeth. He still looks very lightweight to me and there's no point in destroying his confidence at a young age having him get lumped by premiership defenders on a weekly basis.

Problem is we have some very tricky games to come in the second-half of the season. Spurs, Bolton, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal - all away. And with Inter on the horizon the rotation will be in full effect so we'll look like strangers even more than usual. We're going to have to fight tooth and nail for every point in the league and that is not the situation where you should be blooding young players really.

I think the reserves need to have a season in Premiership on loan.
