Look, Rafa's already wrote himself into history with Istanbul, and to a lesser extent another Euro final. But he was pretty much playing with Houlliers team with that first win. Im still unconvinced he can win the league with his team.

His weakness is that he doesn't have a suitable partner upfront. Playing with Kuyt or Voronin is like playing by yourself against 4 defenders. He didn't play a lot with Crouch and Babel, so I hope at least these two can offer him something up there.

I think that's a little harsh on Rafa to be honest, firstly no manager would be able to make all his signings of that standard, secondly most of Rafa's buys been good for what we've paid for them (and the ones that haven't we've more or less made our money back on) thirdly if we had the money we would be bringing more players of that sort of quality in!
