Consistency.....or lack of it.

So, we've got a squad of about...how many? I don't know - I really dont.

How many of the squad can you, hand on heart, say they have played consistently well this season? Week in - week out - hitting 8 or 9 out of 10 for their performance appraisal?

So who's your Mr Consistent so far?

It was Arbeloa for me until today!!!

And I know you won't like this one......but Mascherano is up there too.

Although the undoubted star has been, of course, Torres.

Reina, Agger, Mascherano and Torres.

Torres carries the team in the same way as Owen did, not that much service but he still deliver.

I think we have 45 numbered squad members at the moment (give or take 1 or 2).

As for consistent performers, thats a tough one.
Reina is a worthy keeper. Carra is normally solid, he had a dip but I think that was due to his rib injury. He's getting better now so it seems.
Gerrard is up there but doesn't seem to be filling his role as captain fantastic at the moment.
Then there is Torres..... Genius, Saviour.......GOD mk2

Due to injury/rotation/lack of quality, nobody else is getting a chance to really establish themselves.

Lack of consistency in selection could be directly linked to lack of cnsistency in the players though, no?

We have to start playing a settled side for thenext month or so if we're to get out of this rut, imho.
