    Ryan Babel

Do you dudes believe in time he can join Gerrard and Torres in being one of our genuinely world class players going forward? One of our big hitters.
I think most would say yes.
He's a bit frustrating at times, he's still a young gun and will **** up from time to time but he has great attributes - pace, power, stamina etc.
Torres has been the main positive this season without a doubt but seeing Babel rip past players and leave them for dead is a joy to watch, he's impossible to knock off the ball when he gets going.

I think he could become an awesome player for us. But he's still too inconsistent and needs time. In a couple of seasons, yes, maybe...

In time I think he will come good. You can see glimpses of what he's got. Hopefully he makes the step up in the next year. I'd like to see him given a start up front with Tottes to see how he does.

Put it this way, we look like a far better, pacier team with him in it. So why the **** he is in and out of the side I'll never know.

Just another case of Benitez' over complicated, cautious mentality.

They aren't good players to him, just mere pawns in his chess/Prozone tactics fest.

Strong, quick, tricky and most of all very direct. The later being something we really lack in our squad. I have no doubt will a make a big impact for us. However I'm unsure of where his best position is and how to get the best out of him.

Yes, I think he has the potential to, he does like the run at the defence with surging runs in a similar way to Gerrard and Torres, although he is left out very wide in comparison to the two.

Couple years, he'll be world class. Rafa's just bedding him in right now.

We look a different team attack-wise when Babel is on. Defenders back away from him. They know he has the ability to take them on and beat them. Would love to see him get a start playing just behind Torres. In my opinion we always seem to lack someone in the area between midfield and attack when the ball is played up. I don't want to see Torres having to track all the way back past the half way line just to pick up the ball. Who will score if he is back there?

He's going to be a top player sooner rather than later

He's still raw though and sometimes his touch lets him down. But it seems he has the right mentality to do it. He's made an impact most times he's come in from the subs bench. His task now is to try to cement a starting place from the off and go from there.

The other top 3 would kill for him. We dont have many players like that...

Agreed although i dont think the cementing of a place is entirely his fault, hes clearly not a winger and we wont ever get his maximum potential playing him there.
With a bit more experience and calmness in his play then i think hes an ideal foil for Torres.
