WTF Is "Grand Slam Sunday" All About?

What a horrid description by the $ky tossers in advertising this weekends Sunday Football matches.

They might be /interesting/ to the fans involved, but in no way is it anything close to the pile of crap headlines they have offered up, and only 4 weeks into the season at that.

More & more americanisation creeping into our every day lives

American-style bollocks, it's a ridiculous spin to put onto Sunday.

I used to like how SKY marketed it's Premiership football, but in the past couple of years it's gone severely downhill.

Is that what they’re calling this Sunday’s action? Grand ****ing Slam Sunday?

      I feel ill.

Hey dude, whatever, you seriously need to, like, chill out.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think it's grand slam sunday because they actually have 2 big games to show.

For the last 12 years, we have had a super sunday every week, and as we all know, they are anything but 'super' most the time.

West Ham v Aston Villa anyone? How super was that?
                        Oh I don't know.

Surely then they should have called it Super Duper Sunday.

They've made a rod for their own backs in a way by orginally calling it "Super Sunday". Especially when most of the fixtures involve mediocores like Bolton V Charlton or Man City V Everton. So when a weekend like this one coming arrives, with 2 proper big games they need to sex up the promo to distance it from a normal Super Sunday. It's embarrassing.
