We had one protest in 115 years, and that was just a few superfans up in arms over tickets. Now we have one every week.

The thing is Brian, nothing's really happened yet. No significant action has been taken apart from words that would suggest they are treating the club as a play thing. We still do not know how the whole financing deal is set up, we still don't know if Rafa is to keep his job, we still don't know what's happening exactly with the stadium, we still don't know whether Rafa will be fully supported in the transfer market, and considering it's gone from 'Rafa won't be allowed to purchase or sell players during the January transfer market' (which so many people went ballistic about) to Skrtel for £6.5m and still two weeks to go in the transfer market, I just can't see any point in going over the board with the '**** the Americans OUT!' stance.

Who knows what will happen until the summer, so many things change so quickly, anything could happen.

So I just reserve judgement until we can actually see what's going on instead of building up our own frameworks of what is true and what not.

But dont you see, something huge has happened - they would have replaced Benitez with Klinsmann had we not progressed to the knock out stages of the champions league.

Jurgen Klinsmann! The guy has absolutley zero experience in managing a club. That speaks volumes about the owners for me.

I see where you're coming from about the whole 'lets just wait and see', but if people had taken that attitude when Benitez's future was called into question and hadnt protested then who knows, maybe he would have been sacked regardless of champions league progression.

You can remain calm in these situations and fair play to you. The vast majority of us cant (check out some of the other forums and the vitriol directed against G&H is far worse than it is on here!).

paulc .. jesus the Glazers are ****ing Brain Surgeons compared to these two ******s.. never hear about them .. back the manager with big money ... all they did was increase the ticket prices which were a little on the low side .. no comparison

The Glazers only backed Ferguson with big money after he won the title.

They took over on the 12th May 2005. Summer of 2005 they bought van der Sar and Park Ji Sung, selling Neville and Kleberson. Hardly any net-spend there, maybe even a proft.

January window of 2005-2006 they bought Vidic and Evra for about 12.5M all in.

Summer of 2006 they bought Carrick for 18.6M, selling Spector and van Horseface for about 10.5M. They also made a significant profit from Mikel that is rumoured to be around 8M. In the January window they bought nobody of note and sold Jones and Howard for 4M.

So since they came in across two full seasons (4 transfer windows) they net spent about 8M. Imagine the outrage here if Rafa had only 8M net spent in Summer, nevermind across 4 transfer windows.

Ferguson got the cash because he won the title, not because the Glazers have a history of spending big since they arrived.

The fact that he's an intelligent guy, deep thinker about the game and hugely respected figure in the sport worldwide.

We'd have no problem attracting the top players, put it that way.
