I love lurking on est1892 , I have only felt the need to post once before , as most of my thoughts get summed up by others. But now its rant time ! , This is the club I love and the only club ill ever support and certain things are really pissing me off.
Rant 1. Rick Parry - Other than Torres , name one world class player that we have bought. Now Liverpool are a big club that pay good wages , so why do we keep missing out on players that we are looking to buy?
Alves , wright-phillips , malouda , cichinho , - The list is a lot deeper than this , It seems that over the last ten years we have only bought either mediocre players or players that were cheap and turned out to be good - reina , agger , alonso , kewell , hyppia.
we all can see the difference world class players make to the team . I cant believe that a club like ours that is the second most succsessful team in europe over the last few seasons , cant attract big names.
Rant 2. maybe the times have changed but I remember when united were winning everything and a few things stood out . They had a settled line up - in midfield was giggs becks keane and scholes , if one was injured then maybe nicky butt would fill in or solskjaer. Now butt and solskjaer are good players , always happy to wait their turn and play their part , no complaining about game time etc.
If gerrard and mascher are the best partnership then that is what we should play - let them develop an understanding, that is crucial to winning -
Rant 3. I believe Rafa is a good manager BUT , tinker when we are 12 points clear , not when we are struggling .
Secondly , If you are going to play a man behind the main striker , then let it be kewell or babel , intelligent , creative players - NOT voronin or Kuyt
Sell voronin, use kewell or babel or a youngster as our 4th choice
Sell kuyt - this guy has played in world cups and scored in a champions league final ,we can get a return for him.
BIG LAST RANT - I cant even bring my self to say their names anymore - it makes me sick what these two clowns are doing - worse than that , I want to cry when I think of what could have been and might still be if we go with dic. Whats worse is that if they do sell to dic then they look to make a hefty profit from our fine club. It has to be dic and not two dics. One of them did business with dubya , and that says enough.
We now realize that it was the wrong choice selling to these guys so get rid , boycott anfield if you have to , write your mp , hide drugs in their jets and call Interpol , action has to be taken to get rid and get rid fast.
Silver lining , I believe that the dubai family operate with integrity and class , they have deep pockets and like being associated with success.
