Excellent starting 11. Bar Riise playing obviously.

      Decent performance, good result.

Just one thing; why didn't Rafa let Babel play up top the last 20 minutes? Leaving him on the left with Kuyt on his own up front when you're 5-0 up is bizarre to say the least.

Agree. Babel should've been through the middle then. He may have had a hattrick himself then.

Disapointed that SG was given the opportunity to support the manager and didn`t.:whatever:

Happy that Rafa didn`t vent his obvious anger at the owners disgraceful treatment of him.

good to see some football. good win, babel is looking better every time he plays. He'll easily get double figures,we should play him more often. Alonso looked better, he just needs games to get sharp. Rafa's interview was classic

Yes I was incandescent with rage.

It should've been at least 10-0 at half time.

                  5-0? Pfffttt. Rubbish. Sack him.

... but against such a weak team then I would have loved as many as possible to get on the scoresheat. Imagine if Kuyt or Pennant had scored - and got confidence out of it. There is nothing wrong with Gerrard scoring loads of goals - but the others get so used to it, that they stop shooting at goal for it!!

Yup he could've backed the manager but I don't think there's anything wrong with what he said. Possibly even instructed by Rafa not to say anything because like he said, we should be in the headlines for footballing reasons

I thought Pennant was very confident tonight and played very well

Well in Scot mate puts the focus back where it should be.
Hope we can build some momentum from this.

Still think he should have sent a message to Hicks that the team was behind RAFA.

Well, I was totally expecting that. Luton to defend like mad and then when our first goal went in you just knew the flood gates were going to open.

Ryan Babel. He is skill on a stick. Has a very slight tendancy to give the ball away in attacking situation ala 'Lil Luis', but has shown all the signs to be a great attacking threat for us. It is quite clear however, HE IS NOT A NATURAL WINGER & CROSSER OF THE BALL (with his left peg)...Ahem!
His eye for goal however is Fowler-esque!

Lovely to see Stevie G enjoying his football again. Superb hattrick. All the guys seemed to enjoy tonight despite the unrest surrounding the club.

Can someone just bang everybody's head together and we all forget about the management tiff and move forward from here???

The yanks have a lot to learn. Let us teach them.

Yeah, although I've been one of the main culprits in discussing or apparent problems tonight! I've kind of contradicted myself there!

It was well played tonight though. We couldn't have done much more. Hopefully this is the start of a good run. We'll have Villa on Monday!!!!
