I think it's probably both. We see what we want/expect to see...to some extent at least.

    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He was always quality, you could tell even when Cole was there.

In regard to Riise, I don't see him having less shots. He just keeps missing.

Oh and trying to be a better defender shouldn't make much of a difference when you're standing over a free kick that the whole crowd knows is either going to hit a defender's foot or knock someone out in row Z.

As much as it sticks in my throat, and when he's not being a cheating diving cnut, Evra is an absolutely awesome LB now. Shaky at first, but very, very good now.
          That's the one...

It's backing from fans such as this that will help him regain his form/confidence.

Well I'm sure John will have a good old cry when he reads this.

I don't think I said anything that wasn't true. I wouldn't barrack him if I was 10 metres away from him at the game but I'll reserve my right to do so on here.

Talent-wise he's always been a predictable, average player with a good engine and that's about it.

Just get sick of the negativity, player slagging sometimes.
