Rafa is a genius, not only can he win the European cup with a gang of cabbages, get 15 million quid for bellamy & cisse, see through these 2 ****bags and have the balls to stand up to them, he has also got me to read an article more than 20 words long

    Rafa

    took a while then
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Me and desertscouser were on about this yesterday. I've been thinking since midweek now that Rafa might just have played a blinder here.

IF this transpires to be true....that Rafa Benitez has saved LFC from the Americans....then he must be offered a job for life. This man loves LFC like no other. It's a revelation really. We'll never get another manager like him.

IF DIC comes in I hope Rafa uses this as a new start for him too. In addition to greater funds for transfers I hope he signs more attacking quality, but more than anything else I hope he uses it as some sort of watershed in his career towards changing the way he approaches games in an attacking sense.

It's the one question mark that still hangs over Rafa for me, irrespective of who the owners are.

But if he HAS played a blinder for us then we should be eternally grateful to him, if we manage to get rid of Hicks & Gillett.

You bet. Been saying this to my mates and they don't see it. I do and have since the run to Instabul. Back him and let him have the 2 years left on his contract and I bet he will have done enough to get another.

He deserves an extension IMO after this game.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

i'd agree with that. i love rafa to bits and everyone has the right to make mistakes- however, i do think he has made some big ones this season.

whether that is down to extra pressure or internal issues is open to debate, but i did say ages ago that no club can hope to be successful in the long run wiht such infighting going on

Indeed we were. It sounds far fetched but the more you think about it, the more plausible the theory becomes. I certainly underestimated Rafa. I was critical of him using the press to air his grievances. Now I'm beyond thankfull that he did. If G&H f**k off like I think they will then Rafa will go down in history as the man who set the ball rolling.

I'm devastated that I'll be thousands of miles away from Anfield tomorrow night but I'm certain that those who are there will do us all very proud. For one of the only times in our history, what happens off the pitch tomorrow is far greater than what happens on it.

If DIC takeover comes through and Rafa stays I really think we are on the brink of another defining era in the history of Liverpool FC. I don;t want to get carried away but whatever happens Rafa is a hero in my eyes.

Otherwise though I think it makes a lot of sense.

Because the people in charge of the club held on to the values of the past is why we are where we are now mate, instead of being the biggest football club in the world like we should be. We are the people that should carry on the traditions, the people in charge should be out selling the value of our club around the world, marketing us, opening up new markets, and working towards the future. Let us bask in the past.

Given the nature of the treat the yanks ostensibly present to the future of Liverpool Fc, then if Rafa does help see the Yanks off & introducing DIC- even if the latter are even only reasonable owners- it really does highlight his value as more than a coach, but a great manager. Long may he wear his suit & not coat.

If he helps save the club in that manner, then he can really be held up as one of the greats, even if he achieves nothing on the pitch thereafter because seeing us now into relative safety is one of the most important things to happen to the club since Shanks got us promoted.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Rafa yes had the balls to say something. Wasnt very professional but yes, I hope we get the result we all want. Rafa to stay for a long while.

Rafa is a smart man he's no fool just look what he did at Valencia he's very determined man and he wants the best and expects it just as he knows we want the best.

Hopefully DIC will be able to get him and few more World Class players like Torres that he craves and that could bring us the league.

It's certainly very exciting times ahead.

DIC are winners they dont accept failure
