Just to justify his omission from my list…

Sami had a good game, no doubt, but I felt he was seldom tested and everything he did was bread and butter stuff for a centre half.

I also felt his limitations (these days) were exposed a bit, again, when he was dragged into the channels and he did the usual – blatantly foul his opponent once he’d been skinned.
