Rafa's every post match analysis is...

"We should have won the match,'' Benitez said. "We failed to score the second goal when we were on top and we were the better side.

"That is the recurring problem, that is the real reason. If we had scored a second, we would be talking now about a great game and result.''

That is similar to what hesaid vs. Wigan, Birmingham, vs Spurs, vs City away, vs Boro and Portsmout.

It has become a tape recorder!!!!!!!!!!

RAfa should know where the problem is more than us who pay to watch the game and tv etc.

Torres had a bad game and anxiousness alone can contribute to the fact we're missing chances.

In fairness, had it not been for two stupid goals (well football is about mistakes anyway), we would have won an easy 1-0.

Move on, the match is finished. Stop bickering and get back behind the team.

Well lets be honest here, in most cases he is right and today was a good example.

He gives **** all away in post match interviews because he isn't prepared as he would like to be and to be honest I couldn't care less.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Had it not been for the two goals that cam out of nowhere i would have said that was up there with one of our best performances this season.

We played really well in the first half.

We are a winger and a striker away from being a top class side.

Fredo's response is almost as predicatable as rafa's post match comments

You could say the same about Aston Villa away on the first day of the season. We peppered their goal but didn't take the chances or were denied by some good saves. Then the Chelsea game at home. And many other scrambling wins or disappointing draws since.

I too think we are a winger and a striker away from being a serious title contender but what assurances do you have that we would field both those players every game, in addition to Gerrard and Torres and whoever else?

Last night on our bench we had Babel, a top prospect that cost 11.5M which makes him one of the most expensive signings in the club's history. Xabi Alonso, arguably one of the best passers of the ball in Europe and another one of our most expensive signings ever. And Peter Crouch, one of the leading scorers in Europe's premier competition last season and the club's top scorer in all competitions.

Yet not a single one of them was deemed good enough to start what was a MUST WIN game.

What i noticed from he post match analysis, is there will be no more signings this window (hardly surpising with what is going on), Rafa said that they got skrtl and center back was the only proirity we had for the window.
Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

That's not true though, because we all know Mascherano was someone we wanted to sign...the yanks have clearly pulled the plug.
