    let the young guns loose

Given I only trust Torres and Crouch to score at the moment why not bring in some of the younger guns that are illuminating our reserves and youth team. your man Nemeth the hungarian sounds like he'd do a job with 20 mins left. At the moment it feels like Souness's last season so why not bring in 2-3 young guns like Souness brought in Fowler Matteo and see what theyr like ( Matteo was not a forward i admit but thought he was v under rated)

Right now I'd give Nemeth a run as a sub with Babel & Torres 1st choice up front.

I'm starting to wonder if any of these young lads will ever get a chance. It's a complete waste of time buying them, none of them ever get an opportunity to show what they can do!!

I'd like to see the whole team shaken up, bring loads of them in. Keep Reina, Carragher, Agger, Gerro, Mascherano and Torres in the team, drop the rest of them and bang a load of youngsters in there.

I'm sure they've got more passion in them than the ones who's place they'd take!!!

To be honest if they were good enough I'd say that we've nothing to lose.

Haven't seen much or any of some them to make that call.

            Presumably Rafa has.

Take Leto, looks a good player and I would like to see him get a go ahead of kewel but.....

Babel looks a good young player but even he mostly gets on as sub,I'm sure Rafa knows best and all that.

I'd likem to see babel and Torres up front too,I still think Crouch has a role to play but Babel would not get any complaints from me.

Maybe Rafa feels he's still a bit raw and that if he's thrown in at the deep end and struggles then it may effect him long term,I don't know.

It's not really an ideal situation to bring youngsters in. Still, is there ever?

But it's about time we started to bring somebody through. Jay Spearing for one. Heighway said he was ready, so let's give him a go. Leto is another. Been playing well for Rezzies and already played with the first team.

Or maybe these youngsters simply aren't good enough yet. Lets face it, it's fairly obvious when you have a great player on your hands, and no one has stood out as being a class above the rest just yet.

Babel's another one, he's always sub it's ridiculous. He doesn't need nurturing he needs to be playing from start be it up front or on the wing.

Where he plays I couldn't care less just as long as he plays. No wonder he's got no confidence.

Can't agree with that at all, he plays much better at the moment against a tired defence coming on as a sub, he is very good at that, he looks far less composed starting.

Fair enough mate, I agree he's not always composed from the start but in all fairness how often does he get played from the start...not very often.

I will agree with you that he's a lot better when he comes off the bench as an impact player but I'm sure he can't be enjoying that too much, he's a young lad with bags of potential. He needs to start far more often imo.

I really do think easing him in is a better method personally, it will allow him to get used to playing a new system and in a new country. I just think he isn't composed enough to start and I don't think he'd offer us anything new or improve our attack. We just have to agree to differ on this one .

Paul Anderson is doing well. Maybe worth giving a shot.

Probably best staying at Swansea for now though. Where he scored a cracker tonight.

Nemeth and Pourie. They seem te bo great. Better than Kuyt and Voronin partnership I guess.

jay spearing as a full back played most of his u-18 as a centre back looks very adaptable and very very comfortable on the ball
